Soldier Fit is constantly varied, with high-intensity functional movements. We have designed our program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. Soldier Fit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

This system borrows from several different schools of training—bodybuilding, powerlifting, calisthenics , resistance training , fartleks. plyometrics , speed and agility , and even CrossFit—but it’s much more calculated than simply combining different styles in random fashion. “Everything in the program has a distinctive purpose,. “Nothing is there as a space filler.” Every exercise, every repetition , is use to produce RESULTS, aesthetic , psychological, functional and physiological RESULTS.

We encourage and assist our participants to explore a variety of sports as a vehicle to express and apply their new fitness
The question regularly arises as to the applicability of a regimen like Soldier Fit to older and deconditioned or detrained populations. The needs of an Soldier/athlete and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. One is looking for functional dominance the other for functional competence. Competence and dominance manifest through identical physiological mechanisms.

We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and Speacial Ops personnel one month from combat . We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

We get requests from athletes from every sport looking for a strength and conditioning program for their sport. Firemen, soccer players, triathletes, boxers, and surfers all want programs that conform to the specificity of their needs. While admitting that there are surely needs specific to any sport, the bulk of sport specific training has been ridiculously ineffective. The need for specificity is nearly completely met by regular practice and training within the sport not in the strength and conditioning environment. Our Special Operators, hunters, skiers, mountain bikers and Obstacle Course Racers have found their best fitness from the same regimen
